Yeat Seattle Concert reviews
You have to take the good with the bad
The Bridgestone Arena is acoustically terrible. First off, during every song, you could hear the drums echoing off the back wall of the arena. This meant that I heard the echo of the drums with my left ear and the music a split second later in my right ear - horrible!!!
Rod Stewart played some good songs along with many junk songs. You would think that he could fill an entire evening from his work with the Faces and the album Every Picture Tells A Story. Too bad he chose to fill with fluff instead. You have to give him his props because he truly is one of the great entertainers along with Tina, Mick, and James Brown.
Both Rod and Stevie were having audio problems that seemed to be caused by the sound engineer. In addition to that, Stevie had a sore throat and was visibly moved to tears when the audience cheered for an encore. The woman can write a song and, unlike Rod, there were no junk tunes.
